There used to be a cliche that IFS truck is not suitable due to tough usage. Instead rigid axle in which L/R axles are fixed is said to be necessary.

In deed, in the IFS system, vulnerability around connecting parts like ball joint exists.

Moreover, ground clearance for IFS changes depending on spring stroke. This may make damage on chassis. However, 1990's we succeeded in production of IFS cab over type light duty truck. The reason is the light cab over type truck has a  several constrains.

We could get around it by adopting IFS . The measure advantage of IFS is to enable to enhance roll stiffness, so that wheel rate could be decreased.
